Project Orangutan is a not-for-profit organisation run out of Kuching in Malaysian Borneo and we have had the pleasure of working with the team to develop an informative and engaging site to encourage visitors to visit their Orangutan Sanctuary.
I first met the team from Project Orangutan in 2012 when I travelled to their rehabilitation centre in Borneo to undertake a 2 week volunteering experience helping the oranguntan and other Bornean wildlife. Since then I have stayed in contact with the team and recently got to create a new website for them, with the purpose of educating and engaging the public.
The organisation had a simple one-page website previously, which they sold t-shirts. While we kept the shop functionality, we also added a Blog, News Feed (populated by Facebook posts), Customised Tour information areas, Donation area, Image Galleries, and much more.
In 2017 we also coordinated the manufacture, delivery, and marketing of an Orangutan toy to boost profits via the sale of the toy.
After having a second look through it (the site) it all looks ace. Hurrah!! After 2+ years of wishing, we finally have a website!!
